One of the largest health problems in the United States today is that of hypertension.  It is estimated that over 30% of adults 20 and over have some degree of hypertension.  In any one year, approximately million physician office visits will be made for evaluation (either initial or on-going) of hypertension.  The number of antihypertensive medications has changed drastically over the past decade.  Health care providers must have a knowledge of these medications they will be required to administer them for their patients.
